A song i listen to when I’m happy

Vampire Weekend make so much happy music! Just before I started writing I was discussing the band with a friend, I said how listening to it made me think of summer on the beach, he said that it sounded really African. I don’t know how I missed that, I’ve been to Kenya and witnessed their happy up beat music and it does share lots of similarities.
Anyway, the first time I heard these guys It was the first year of me being down in Hobart (I moved down for Uni). All of my family and friends lived back up in Launceston so every now and then I started missing them but this album saw me through. The happy mix of neat/cute guitar riffs, the hand drums and the tasteful synth make this song awesome! These elements are mixed and matched throughout their self-titled album and produce a great array mood music – perfect to drive to or to stick on in the background of dinner.
